Custom Cabin Solution

A Porta Cabin project involves the manufacturing, supply, and installation of prefabricated, relocatable structures for temporary or semi-permanent use. They serve as cost-effective, scalable alternatives to traditional brick-and-mortar buildings for construction sites, industrial facilities, educational campuses, and emergency relief.

1. Structural Specifications & Materials

  • Base & Frame: Fabricated using heavy-duty Mild Steel (MS) I-beams, C-channels, and square pipes with anti-corrosive treatments to prevent rust.
  • Walls & Roof: Built with insulated sandwich panels (usually 50mm - 100mm thickness) utilizing Rockwool or Glass wool for thermal and acoustic insulation.
  • Flooring: Layered with marine plywood or cement particle boards topped with durable vinyl carpeting or ceramic tiles.
  • Lifting Lugs: Roof and base frames feature built-in hooks or lugs to easily lift and shift the unit via crane.

2. Interior Layout & Amenities

  • Doors & Windows: Powder-coated aluminum or UPVC sliding windows with grills. Main doors are typically insulated steel or pre-laminated boards fitted with heavy-duty locks and door closers.
  • Electricals: Concealed fire-resistant copper wiring, MCB protection, LED lights, ceiling fans, and built-in splits or window AC provisions.
  • Sanitation/Kitchen: Can be fitted with western water closets, wash basins, exhaust fans, and water heaters for functional restrooms.

3. Applications & Configurations

Porta cabins can be configured for virtually any functional requirement: [1]

  • Site Offices & Workstations: For project managers, administration, and team meetings.
  • Worker Accommodations: Prefabricated labour camps with bunk beds and shared amenities.
  • Specialized Units: Security guard cabins, medical screening rooms, storage units, and kitchens.

4. Logistics & Installation

  • Off-Site Manufacturing: Cabins are pre-engineered in controlled factory environments, guaranteeing high quality and reducing organic/inorganic waste.
  • Rapid Installation: Transported via flatbed trucks and rapidly erected on-site over a simple pre-laid concrete block foundation.
